Comprehensive Planning Featured Projects The RPC has endeavored to tie its diverse activities together by incorporating its various programs into a comprehensive planning process. The process, based on our transportation planning model, uses stakeholder-driven strategic planning to propose a vision for future regional development. The visioning process is followed by the development of a capital improvement program to shape and to fund infrastructure investment to implement that vision. The goal of this program is to develop a sustainable regional community that works together to help individual parishes achieve local goals. The comprehensive plan must be sustainable and realistic at both regional and local levels. Therefore, RPC is not only pursuing its own initiative, but is providing substantial support, coordination, and funding for similar internal efforts within local parishes. RPC efforts include:
