RPC's Southeast Louisiana Clean Fuel Partnership

Housed at the Regional Planning Commission, the Southeast Louisiana Clean Fuel Partnership (SLCFP) is a coalition of local fleet managers, mechanics, alternative fuel and technology providers, local and state government agencies, non-profit organizations, and interested individuals who work to improve the region's environmental and public health, energy security and economic development opportunities by promoting policies and practices that reduce petroleum consumption in transportation. The Clean Fuel Partnership's initiatives focus on assisting transportation fleets to:

  • Increase the use of cleaner fuels and alternative fuel vehicles;
  • Diversify our transportation fuel sources; and
  • Reduce consumption of fuel by promoting fuel saving technologies and policies.

SLCFP is part of a network of almost 100 US Dept. of Energy-designated Clean Cities Coalitions that provides education, technical assistance, and access to grant funds to promote the use of cleaner fuels and energy saving technologies in transportation.
