Public Notice Notice is hereby given by the Regional Planning Commission (RPC), acting as designated recipient for federal transit funds for Jefferson, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard Parishes, and for River Parishes Transit Authority (St. Charles/St. John Parishes) and the Regional Transit Authority’s Ferry Service, is proposing its fiscal year (FY) 2026 program of projects, seeking funds in the amount of $21,913,944 from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) under 49 USC Section 5307 and $1,756,431 under 49 USC 5339.

The planning process resulted in the following distribution of FTA 5307 funds:

This notice is provided to afford an opportunity for interested parties to comment on the above projects. Comments from private enterprises or social service organizations involved in the provision of transportation or in related fields with comments concerning the adequacy of the program or expressing interest in participating in various elements of the program either in planning or implementation are being particularly solicited herein.

The Transportation Policy Committee of the Regional Planning Commission will also receive comments from the public at its regularly scheduled meeting on July 14th at 12:30, held at the above address.
It is anticipated that the projects as advertised herein represent the final version of the FY 2026 Program of Projects for inclusion in the TIP. Should any amendments, addition, or deletions be made to this program based on the public hearing or other comments, said changes will be readvertised. This public notice and the opportunities and time for comments herein described satisfy the program of projects’ public involvement activities for the FTA funded grantees listed above.
